Welcome Dear Friends and Colleagues, It is our pleasure to invite you to attend a unique event to be held in Strasbourg from September 15th to 18th, 2010. Since its foundation - Heidelberg 1988 - the European Society of Contact Dermatitis (ESCD) has organised every second year very successful congresses in different European Countries allowing clinicians and scientists to share and discuss the latest clinical and research developments in the field of allergic contact dermatitis. On the other hand, the Groupe d’Etude et de Recherche en Dermato-Allergologie (GERDA) has been gathering since 1979 Dermato-Allergologists and Occupational Physicians from French speaking countries for a yearly reference training course. In 2010, we will take the opportunity to have these two major events organised together in Strasbourg! The “10th Congress of the ESCD” and the “31e Cours d’actualisation du GERDA“ will keep their own format but with many opportunities for scientific and social exchanges… To open this special event, a pre-symposium will be held on September the 15th on a major and very actual topic: “Prevention of skin allergy in Europe: a need for a break through” Don’t miss this unique opportunity! Bienvenue Chers Amis et Collègues, Nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter à un évènement unique qui se déroulera à Strasbourg du 15 au 18 septembre 2010. Depuis sa fondation à Heidelberg en 1988, l’European Society of Contact Dermatitis (ESCD) a organisé tous les deux ans, avec beaucoup de succès, un congrès dans différents pays européens afin de permettre aux cliniciens et scientifiques de partager et discuter les dernières découvertes dans le domaine de l’allergie de contact. Parallèlement, le Groupe d’Etude et de Recherche en Dermato-Allergologie (GERDA), rassemble depuis 1979, les dermato-allergologues et médecins du travail des pays francophones pour ce qui est devenu un cours de référence. En 2010, nous organiserons ces deux manifestations conjointement à Strasbourg. The « 10th Congress of the ESCD » et le « 31e Cours d’actualisation du GERDA » conserveront leurs formats traditionnels mais avec de nombreuses possibilités d’échanges scientifiques et amicaux… En guise d’ouverture, un pré-symposium aura lieu le 15 septembre sur un sujet d’importance et très actuel : « Prevention of skin allergy in Europe: a need for a break through ».
